MMA has been the only form of fighting that Monica doesn’t seem to do well in.
But tonight she gets one more chance to prove her stuff.
Both women are in their respective locker rooms getting ready for tonight’s fight.
And as usual, my girlfriend Alicia and I join ringside commentator Chuck at the announce table.
“Steve, Alicia, welcome to the announce position. It’s a pleasure as always.” Chuck says, shaking my hand and hugging Alicia.
“Thanks for inviting us again, Chuck!” I say, as we take our seats.
“Steve, I’m interested to hear your take on our co-main event of the evening, this MMA match between Bikini Boxing champion Monica The Magnificent and Peyton.” Chuck says.
“Chuck, Monica hasn’t fared well inside the octagon, but, after speaking with her earlier, I have a feeling her luck may be about to change. And as for Peyton, she doesn’t compete in the WEC often, but, I just see her having a long night tonight.” I say.
“Thanks, Steve...Alicia, you have a couple of matches coming up against Monica soon, what are your thoughts?” Chuck asks.
“Chuck, unlike Steve, I have a different take on this. Monica is 0-3 inside the octagon, and in all honesty, I don’t see her luck changing at all. And you’re right Chuck, I have at least two matches coming up against Monica, one wrestling and one boxing. And, I have a feeling I’ll be the new Bikini Boxing champion after it’s all said and done.” Alicia says, looking pissed.
“Thanks, Alicia. Let’s throw it to Tabitha Bolin who is backstage with Peyton...Tabitha?”
“Thanks, Chuck! Peyton, what are your thoughts heading into this huge match up?”
“My thoughts? I have to agree with Alicia, Monica is 0-3 in the octagon, and as much as it pains me to say this, but...Sorry about your damn luck, Monica!” Peyton says, walking away.
“Thank you, Peyton! Chuck, back to you.”
Peyton makes her way to the octagon, wearing a black sports bra and leopard print shorts. And she’s accompanied by her corner crew.
Peyton gets inspected cage side, she receives her mouth piece and she enters the octagon.
“Thanks, Tabitha! Alicia, I must admit, you’re extremely confident heading into your first match with Monica, which, for the record is a wrestling match. I think you’ll find out that she’s a lot tougher than you give her credit for.”
“Chuck, please, I’ll make Monica my bitch.” Alicia says, getting up and walking away.
“Alicia? Sweetie?” I say, trying to stop her, but she’s gone.
“Ok, well, let’s throw it one more time to Tabitha, who is backstage with Monica The Magnificent...Tabitha?” Chuck says.
“Thanks, Chuck! Monica, you heard the comments of Peyton, what are your thoughts?”
“Actually, Tabitha, I’m more concerned with the comments of our World Champion, Alicia Vitarelli. You’re going to make me your bitch? I’d pay money to see you try. I’ll leave you knocked out and naked in the middle of the ring. And, Steve, tell your little girlfriend to watch her fucking mouth.” Monica says, walking away.
“Thank you, Monica! Chuck, back to you!”
Monica makes her way to the octagon, wearing an orange sports bra and black shorts, and she accompanied by her corner crew.
“Thanks, Tabitha. Steve, what are your thoughts on the comments of Monica The Magnificent?”
“Chuck, it’s a shame Alicia isn’t here to tell you herself. Monica, Alicia is a lot tougher than you give her credit for, and it’ll be you who is left knocked out in the middle of the ring. That’s all I have to say, Chuck.”
“Thanks, Steve! Ok, let’s send it up to ring announcer Karen Rogers, it’s time for out co-main event!”
Ring announcer Karen Rogers enters the ring to make the official introductions.
“Ladies & gentlemen the following contest is our co-main event of the evening, and it is scheduled for 5 rounds in the WEC MMA Division.
“Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner...please welcome...PEYTON!”
Peyton smiles and waves to the crowd.
“Her opponent, fighting out of the red corner...she is from Spain, she is the reigning Bikini Boxing Champion...please welcome...MONICA THE MAGNIFICENT!”
Monica smiles and waves to the crowd as well
The referee gives final instructions, the bell sounds and both women come out circling.
Monica scores first with a kick right to Peyton’s left side, followed by a right hook to the body.
Peyton tries to answer back, but Monica dodges her punches.
Monica then shoots in for a takedown and is successful, taking Peyton immediately down to the mat.
Monica quickly passes Peyton’s guard and begins raining down hard elbow shots and hammer fists.
Somehow though, Peyton gets out from under Monica and back to her feet.
But Peyton now has a cut under her left eye and it’s beginning to swell.
Just the. The horn sounds, ending round 1
“Steve? What are your thoughts on that 1st round?” Chuck asks.
“Chuck, I though it was very lopsided, Monica just seemed to do as she pleased that round, this keeps up and it’ll be an easy victory for Monica.” I say.
In Peyton’s corner:
“You need to guard against the takedown better, you need to make her work for it. Now, go out there and establish your jab, maybe start with a body kick, you can still win this, Peyton!”
In Monica’s corner:
“Great job so far, try for another takedown this round, and try to lock in that arm bar we taught you, you can easily tap her out, Mon!”
Both women are on their feet for round 2.
The bell sounds and both women come out circling.
As instructed, Peyton tries for a body kick, but Monica checks it.
Monica again shoots in for a takedown, and is once again successful, driving Peyton right down to the mat.
Peyton tries to stand up, but, when she did that, it allowed Monica to lock in a triangle choke.
Peyton literally has no choice but to tap, but she refuses, instead she tries to fight it and winds up passing out.
