This story picks up in between rounds 6 & 7.
“What an impressive round, how are these two still punching? I’m tired just from watching them.” I say.
In Madison’s corner:
“Madi? You got to stop spitting out your mouth piece, I know it’s hard to breathe, but, you’re going to start losing teeth if you keep this up. Other than that, you’re doing great out there, keep it up.”
In Monica’s corner:
“Monica, you barely got up that last knockdown, start protecting yourself a lot better, or otherwise you’re going to be tasting defeat.”
Both women are on their feet for round 7.
The horn sounds and both come out circling.
Madison scores first with a couple of quick jabs, but Monica quickly answers back with a jab of her own.
Monica clinches up with Madison and again begins punishing Madison’s ribs.
Madison is able to shove her off, but, Monica connects with a right hook, knocking Madison down again.
The referee starts counting, Madison is up at 8 though, and the fight continues.
Monica continues her assault, really destroying Madison’s abs and ribs.
Just then, the horn sounds, ending round 7.
Madison needs a little help getting to her corner.
“This is one of the best fights, not just in the WEC, but, I mean ever. Thank you so much for making this match, Steve!” Chuck says.
“I have to agree, Chuck, these two women really want it, and both refuse to lose.” I say.
In Madison’s corner:
“Madison, you need to do a better job of protecting yourself, you’re taking far too much punishment in this fight. I have to give it to you though, as many times as you’ve been knocked down, you get right back up and continue fighting.”
Madison high fives her coach for that one.
In Monica’s corner:
“You’re doing good so far, Monica. I’m not exactly sure what is on the judges scorecards, but, I can only assume that you’re winning right now, you’ve had the better fight. Keep it up and that title will come home with you.”
Both women are on their feet for round 8.
The horn sounds and both women come out circling.
Monica clinches up with Madison and just begins hammering her already bruised and broken ribs.
Madison somehow shoves Monica off and connects with a stiff right hook, knocking Monica down again.
The referee begins counting, but, Monica is up at 7. The fight continues.
Monica is now really upset, as she charges at Madison again, and starts firing off rights and lefts connecting with Madison’s jaw and chest.
Madison tries to answer back, but, Monica is too strong, eventually knocking Madison down again.
The referee begins counting, Madison is up by 9, but, just barely.
Just as Madison gets up, the horn sounds, ending round 8.
Madison again needs help getting to her corner
In Madison’s corner:
“Madison, you’re doing great so far, but, you need to do a better job protecting yourself, you’re getting knocked down too many times. Other than that, keep doing what you’re doing and put her away.”
In Monica’s corner:
“Monica, stop toying with her and put her away.”
Both women are on their feet for round 9.
The horn sounds, and Madison charges out of her corner, and just begins throwing bombs, connecting with vicious rights and lefts to Monica’s face, chest and body.
Monica swings wildly and misses, Madison connects with a right jab that sends Monica down to the canvas.
The referee counts, and Monica is up at 8.
Monica tries to answer back, but, for every punch Monica lands, Madison lands one even harder.
They clinch up again, and this time it’s Madison who starts busting up Monica’s ribs, causing Monica to spit out her mouth piece.
With that the horn sounds, ending round 9.
Monica stumbles to her corner.
“This war just claimed Monica’s ribs as another casualty, did you see how quickly she spit her mouth piece out when Madison was busting her up!” Chuck asks.
“That round just proved how badly Madison Sex-Kitten wants to win this fight.” I respond..
In Madison’s corner:
“Good job busting her ribs up, she’s having a hard time breathing now too. Keep throwing your jab and you can win this fight!”
In Monica’s corner:
“Are you able to breathe, Mon?” Do a better job protecting your ribs, you’re still in this fight, Mon.”
Both women are on their feet for round 10.
The bell sounds, and both women come out circling.
Madison scores early with a series of stiff jabs, snapping Monica’s head back, Monica tries to answer back, but, Madison side steps, and connects with a vicious right hook. It sends Monica to the canvas again.
Monica struggles to get up, but, she’s up by 9.
The fight continues, and, Madison continues her assault, now once again focusing on Monica’s injured ribs.
Monica drops to one knee from the assault.
Monica is quickly back to her feet though, but, as quickly as she’s back to her feet, Madison sends her back down.
As the referee begins counting, the horn sounds, ending round 10.
Monica needs a lot of help getting back to her corner.
“Steve, is it me, or does Monica seem to be fading in this fight?” Chuck asks.
“It’s not you, Chuck. I’ve noticed it too, Madison is starting to dominate this fight.”
In Madison’s corner:
“You’re doing great out there, Madi, you’re in the driver’s seat, you’re winning this fight. Go out there and finish the fight.”
In Monica’s corner:
“That was a devastating round, Monica. You may actually be losing this fight now. Clinch up with her as soon as you can and work her ribs some more.”
Both women are on their feet for round 11.
The bell sounds and both women come out circling.
Monica does as instructed, and clinches up with Madison and begins pummeling her injured ribs again. Madison has to open her mouth to breathe. Monica just keeps delivering blow after blow, until Madison drops to one knee, clutching her stomach.
Madison barely gets up before the count of 10.
The fight continues, and now it’s Madison’s turn to batter Monica’s ribs. Monica drops to one knee.
Monica has trouble getting back to her feet as well, but, the fight continues.
Monica scores with a couple of quick jabs, but, Madison responds.
Just then the horn sounds ending round 11.
Both women stumble to their corners.
“Wow! I can’t believe it’s the last round. This fight has been incredible!” I say.
In Madison’s corner:
“This is the last round, Madi. Go out there and finish the fight.”
In Monica’s corner:
“You’ve done an incredible job so far, Mon. You had a tougher fight on your hands then we both realized. You can still win this fight, just one more round.”
Both women are on their feet for round 12
The horn sounds and both women come out circling, they touch gloves.
Monica scores first with a jab followed by an uppercut, Madison answers back with an uppercut of her own, followed by a series of jabs.
Monica is so exhausted, she just clinches up with Madison.
Madison begins punching Monica’s ribs again. Monica has to open her mouth to breathe.
Monica shoves Madison off, and connects with a right hook, sending Madison down to the canvas.
Madison is up, but just barely at the count of 9.
Madison gets up firing, connecting with a series of jabs, knocking Monica down to the canvas.
No sooner is Monica up, the horn sounds, ending the fight.
It’s in the hands of the judges now.
A few minutes go by and Anna Simon enters the ring with the official decision.
“Ladies and gentlemen, after 12 rounds of action we go to the judge’s scorecards...The winner...by a total of 3 points...and...STILL Bikini Boxing Champion...Monica the Magnificent.”
Madison grabs the microphone from Anna Simon.
“That’s bullshit! You know it’s bullshit!,” She says to the judges, “and you know it’s bullshit, Steve. I won this fight.”
With that, Madison drops the microphone, runs up and decks Monica with a bare hand. A wild brawl ensues in the ring between both corner crews and both fighters.
After a few minutes, order is restored. I enter the ring to put the Bikini Boxing championship belt around the waist of Monica.
I grab the microphone as well.
“Madison, since you think it’s so unfair. I’m fining you $25,000 for your comments. You won’t be able to fight until you pay your fines.”.
I say, dropping the microphone and leaving the ring.
Monica celebrates for a few minutes in the ring.
