It’s a new day here in The Women’s Extreme Championship, a tournament to crown a new Knockout Angels champion begins to today with Brooke Fairchild taking in relative new comer Devin Myers.
The KOA Arena is filled to capacity in anticipation for this huge tournament.
Brooke Fairchild enters first, wearing an American flag colored sports bra and matching spandex shorts.
She gets inspected cage side, hugs her corner staff, receives her mouth piece and quickly enters the octagon.
Devin Myers enters next, wearing a black sports bra and red spandex shorts, like Brooke, she gets inspected cage side, she hugs her corner staff, receives her mouth piece and quickly enters the octagon.
Both women stand in their respective corners ad ring announcer Karen Rogers enters the octagon to make the pre match introductions.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the KOA Arena for tonight’s first bout in this historic Knockout Angels Tournament.
“Introducing first, she’s a former Rising Angels and a former Undisputed Women’s World Champion. Please welcome Brooke Fairchild!”
Brooke bows and waves to the crowd, as she gets a fair amount of applause.
“And her opponent, she’s a newcomer to the world of wrestling and MMA, please welcome Devin Myers.”
Devin as well waves and bows to the crowd, although her reception is no where near as warm as the one Brooke received.
Karen Rogers leaves the octagon and the referee gives final instructions, the horn sounds and both women begin circling.
Devin tries for a takedown right off the bat, but, brooke quickly stuffs it, Brooke quickly answers with a stiff kick to Devin’s left side, making her back up a few steps.
Brooke charges and pushes Devin back against the cage, and Brooke just begins pounding on Devin, rights and lefts to her face and stomach, making her slump down to the mat.
Brooke backs off, allowing Devin a chance to get back to her feet.
As soon as Devin is back to her feet, Brooke shoots in for an immediate take down, and just begins delivering hard elbow shots, opening a cut above Devin’s left eye, mercifully the horn sounds ending round one.
Devin appears dazed and actually stumbles to her corner.
Meanwhile, in Brooke’s corner:
“Great job so far, Brooke, keep it up! This next round, I want you to just take her down, and pound her for the entire round, we’ve worked on your ground and pound, let’s see how far you’ve come.”
In Devin’s corner:
“Devin? Devin, look at me! Are you ok? Can you continue? Ok, good, try to remain on your feet this round, you can’t let her take you down.”
Both women are on their feet for round 2.
The horn sounds, and both women again begin circling. Brooke sweeps Devin’s leg out from under her, sending her crashing to the mat, Brooke is quickly on top of her, trying to lock in an arm bar, but, quickly, Brooke abandons that idea, and quickly get back to her feet. Devin, slowly gets back to her feet as well.
Brooke lunges, connecting with a vicious Superman punch, knocking Devin back against the cage, and reopening the cut above her eye.
Brooke moves in and again begins assaulting Devin, rights & lefts to her face, stomach and breasts, finally locking up with her against the cage.
Brooke starts stomping on Devin’s feet until she’s able to hip toss her down to the mat, with Brooke on top, raining down hard elbow shots, opening another cut, this one along the bridge of Devin’s nose.
With that, the horn sounds, ending round 2.
Again Devin needs help even locating her corner, but she staggers her way over there.
Meanwhile, in Brooke’s corner:
“Great job so far, Brooke, loved that toss you executed, keep it up, I think you’ve already won this match, just go out there and finish it.”
In Devin’s corner:
“Devin, you’re getting killed out there, how about I throw the towel in?” her corner man says.
“NO! NO TOWEL!” She yells.
“Ok. If you continue looking flat out ther, I’ll have no choice but to throw the towel in, so, get it together out there.”
Both women are on their feet for round 3.
The horn sounds and both women come out ready to fight.
Brooke again charges for Devin and takes her down to the mat, and immediately gains dominant position, and starts throwing elbows, breaking her nose in the process.
After a minute of this, Brooke gets up, and allows Devin to get to her feet as well.
Brooke knocks Devin back down again though by sweeping her leg out from under her, but, again, Brooke allows her to get back to her feet.
Brooke then closes in and begins firing rights and lefts, and throwing in body and head kicks for good measure until Devin is again backed against the cage, Devin’s face at this point is covered in blood as is certain parts of the mat.
Brooke finally connects with a vicious right hook to Devin’s jaw, knocking her back down to the mat, but, just then the horn sounds ending round 3.
Once again, Devin needs assistance back to her corner.
Meanwhile in Brooke’s corner:
“Great job so far, Brooke, you’ve won the first three rounds, barring any major setback, you have this match won, so, go out there and finish her!”
In Devin’s corner:
“Devin, it’s to the point now where you either need a knockout or a stoppage, and in all honesty, I don’t think you have either in you. And I know you won’t let me throw the towel in, so, go out there and try not to get killed.”
Both women are on their feet for round 4.
The bell sounds and both women begin circling.
Devin finally tries to mount some offense, trying for a take down, but, Brooke quickly counters with a stiff right hook to Devin’s jaw, knocking her out instantly.
The referee steps in and Brooke Fairchild is declared the winner.
A few minutes later, the doctor is still attending to Devin, and Karen Rogers is back in the octagon.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this fight 1:30 in the 4th round, declaring the winner by KNOCKOUT, and advancing in this tournament...BROOKE FAIRCHILD!”
Brooke goes around the cage, celebrating, finally shaking hands with Devin before finally leaving the cage.
